![]() The only thing left to do is choose a project and an activity, and the gadget displays the tags you need. It lets you create new events, without having to know the exact tags, by giving you the list of known projects for a certain domain and a list of activities for each project. This problem is solved by the new Timetag google calendar gadget. As a consequence we need to go back to the event to fill in the appropriate tag, as Timetag will not recognize the event. This is uncomfortable because we tend to forget the tags and fill in wrong ones by mistake. The current problem with creating Timetag events is that you need to know the existing project and activity tags. This way you can keep track of all your time spent on a certain activity in a certain project. This allows the calendar entry to be recognized by Timetag and linked to the corresponding project and activity. The only thing you have to do in your Calendar is create an entry in your Timetag calendar and fill in the title with a proper project and activity tag. Timetag is XAOP’s free time-tracking tool that integrates with google calendar and lets you create events that are recognized when you synchronize it with your google calendar account. Start tagging time through the Calendar app on your IOS device: when creating a new event, the calendars you marked for sync will appear in the list!.To solve this, surf with Safari on you iPhone to Īfter selecting your device in the “manage devices” screen (*), you ’ll see a page where you can select additional calendars you want to sync. ![]() However, you’ll only see your main calendar on your phone and not any other calendars you may have in Google, like your Timetag calendar.Obviously this will give you your email (with push support), but since all my contacts (phone and email) where in Google, the Contacs sync was especially useful for me! First step: set up Google sync with you IOS device as described at Google support.I recently switched from my Android device to an iPhone and as you might expect, some additional steps were required to get Google Apps integration running as smoothly as on my old HTC Hero. For the more technically inclined, check out the video from Android engineers Ben Cheng and Bill Buzbee during Google I/O 2010 where the JIT compiler was introduced.Timetag Ceases To Be Free: How Much Will It Cost?Īs soon as our crowdfunding campaign ends, Timetag will begin to charge money for its services. We certainly saw that when Froyo was released for the Nexus One, and things have just gotten better with every release. To the end user (that's you and me) all we should see is better performance in most of our applications. If all this reads like Greek to you, that's OK. Not all applications see a significant speed increase, and most applications written with the NDK or in native code won't see an increase at all, as they don't use the Dalvik virtual machine. This means applications that were throttled by CPU performance get faster, and apps that are "rate-limited" (run until they are finished without taxing the processor to the maximum) finish faster and use less battery because of it. A JIT compiler simply saves CPU cycles - more work can be done for each clock cycle. You hear terms like "runs faster" or 4 to 5 times performance increase anytime you talk about Android's JIT compiler.
